How can Coaching help?

• Prepare for and manage the physical and psychological aspects of the relocation, the transition into a new culture (culture shock) and the integration process - together with their family;

• Identify and manage the hurdles of intercultural communication at work (colleagues and team) and in private;

• create and develop new professional and social networks, make friends quickly with local people & maintain long-distance relationships;

• Identify and manage the cultural inclusion-exclusion processes;

• maintain a solid personal foundation despite the stress of coping with new environments, a new lifestyle, new relationships and a foreign culture;

• develop a good work/life balance an, in particular, find the time to discover and enjoy a new culture;

• manage the often ignored difficulties of “impatriation”

Coaching for expats

Making the decision to live outside of family and cultural environments can become of the most enriching experiences that an individual can have in his/her lifetime. However, in many occasion it is a decision and an experience that requires a great capacity for adaptation, learning and tolerance.

Facing a new culture implies in many ways the need for redefining our identity, our values and our behaviours. This journey that can make us feel vulnerable is also a journey to know about ourselves and make us grow.
